How old were you when you started playing hockey? Four

Tell us a little bit about your playing experience (who, when, how long, awards):
I played competitive hockey through High School (Sacred Heart, East Grand Forks, MN).  I’ve always loved the game and the competition/camaraderie associated with it.  Although, I never achieved a scholarship, I’ve never stopped playing.  I’ve played in numerous men’s leagues around the metro – including 3 yrs of Senior A – full check – with the Green Mill squad that went to the national tournament in each of my 3 yrs on the team.  I no longer play full check hockey, but I still remain an active participant and manage to get out and play a couple nights a week and you’re likely to find me in the occasional pond hockey tourney.

How long have you been coaching? I’ve coached for two seasons and absolutely love it!

Playing in the section 8 finals in high school and winning the MIAC Championship at Concordia in 1986.  After beating St. John's in the first roud of the playoffs, we beat St. Thomas and proceeded to get smoked by Bemidji State.  Probably a bigger memory that wasn't on the ice was being able to spend time with my parents and friends traveling to games. Being from Moorhead none of our road trips were short. We still share stories about them.
